Membership is open to women of all ages, races, religions and national origins who share an interest in and commitment to voluntarism. Our monthly general membership meetings are the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm from September through June. We are pleased to welcome Mayor John Dickert as our speaker at our September 1st meeting. JUNIOR LEAGUE PRESENTS "A DAY WITH VICKI CLARK"
ENGAGE WITH OTHER JUNIOR LEAGUE MEMBERS -
EMPOWER YOURSELF WITH KNOWLEDGE
The Junior League of Racine and the Junior League of Milwaukee will host "A Day with Vicki Clark" on Wednesday, October 6th, 2010. Vicki Clark is a nationally recognized expert in non-profit consulting, and has devoted the past 25 years to assisting non-profit organizations with an emphasis on building capacity in volunteer, membership-based organizations. She was on the steering committee for Colin Powell’s Presidents’ Summit for America’s Children. Vicki provides training and consultation to national and international organizations, and foundations, and is a guest lecturer at colleges and universities. Vicki is a frequent leader at Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI) functions and Junior League events across the country. She is a dynamic and engaging speaker, and we are delighted to offer Junior League members the opportunity to benefit from her wisdom and humor.
Topics will range from "Servant Leadership" to "The 11 Commandments for Wildly Successful Women"! The breakfast seminar will be held from 8:30am to 10:30am at the River Bend Nature Center, 3600 N. Green Bay Rd., Racine. Lunch and dinner seminars will be held with the Junior League of Milwaukee at the Oak Creek Community Center, 8580 S. Howell Avenue, Oak Creek. The lunch session will be 11:45am to 1:15pm, and the dinner session will be 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Reservations are required. All Junior League of Racine members are invited to attend.
The Junior League of Racine is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. It has been providing service to the Racine community for 94 years. Past Junior League community projects include Racine Zoo, Women's Resource Center, Racine Family Literacy, HALO, Racine Public Library, Margaret Ann's Place, Health Care Network, Next Generation Now, and Children's Advocacy Center.
