2010 “Volunteerism in the Racine Community” Scholarship

The Junior League of Racine will award a $2,000 scholarship to a Racine high school female graduating in the spring of 2010 that has demonstrated a commitment to volunteerism. The Junior League of Racine is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. By publicly recognizing and rewarding an excellent volunteer, the Junior League applauds volunteerism in the community and hopes to encourage other young women to become committed to volunteering. The scholarship applications will be judged on volunteerism in the community and will not be based on financial need. Applicants must plan to attend a four year accredited college or university, have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better and be a Racine County high school student. Scholarship applications and guidelines are available at all Racine County High Schools, certain youth organizations and on this web site. Completed applications must be received no later than March 26th, 2010.
