2003 WOMEN BUILDING BETTER COMMUNITIES

Donated $10,000 over two years to support Taylor Home’s Gang Diversion Program. Sent $6,000 to Camp Anokijig to send 15 youths to camp. Created three spot placements on the YMCA Camp Anokijig Scholarship Board. In addition, we voted to support the Yellow Dress and Remote Control for 2003-2004 with $2,000 and four members to sit on the collaborative committee. This year we brought 16 Yellow Dress performances to approximately 3100 people in Racine County. Fund Development promoted Suzy’s Cheesecakes, the Barnes & Noble Book Sale, the Boston Store Community Day Sale and the Wine Tasting, in total raising over $12,000. Wine Tasting event alone brought in $11,000. The Endowment Fund was established at the Racine Community Foundation. The Attic turned over $8,000. Membership Development presented 20 women to go Active.
