Join the Junior League of Racine!

We are still accepting new members until January 21, 2009! Please click on the headers to learn more about us or contact us with any questions.

The Junior League of Racine is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1916, making it the 18th League established. The League is an organization of women whose purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

Why should you become a member?

You should become a member of the Junior League of Racine because we develop the potential of women and improve the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Here’s how we accomplish this:

Women of common interests join the League to focus their attention and efforts on their community - both its strengths and weaknesses.

New members sharpen their awareness and have an opportunity to learn through the provisional course and subsequent League education. The League also puts learning into action by working in the community doing League activities.

Members give direct service in agencies where they discover how to evaluate immediate needs of people and organizations.

Members serve on committees and boards and learn how to work constructively with other committee or board members.

Members learn the value of community cooperation in a given program.

Members receive training and experience through the Junior League and, as a result, have a deep and continuing sense of obligation to their community and an interest in its welfare.
